Goodbye Ann and God Bless

Ann had a connection to lots of people, as a wife to Bill, a mother to Stephen, a grandmother to Danielle and Lily-Jo, as a sister, an aunt, a cousin, or a friend.

Whatever your connection with Ann, whether it was long or brief, easy or hard, let me tell you something you probably already know; your life has been blessed by knowing someone as individual and unique as Ann.

I can’t say that Ann had had an easy life because I would be lying. From an early age, Ann had more than her fair share of pain and suffering. But she was a fighter, she got through it all with a smile on her face and a love of life. Ann truly believed that life was for living, and as sometimes happens, when life deals you a bad hand, Ann knew that you had work with it, to do your best and get on with your life.

To Ann, giving up and admitting defeat were never an option. There were times when even she thought the pain couldn’t get any worse, but to everyone’s amazement, time and time again throughout her life, she overcame so many obstacles that would have defeated most people.

Sadly though, the last battle was just too hard for her to win, but I can assure you all, she didn’t go without a fight.

Ann had a huge heart, a heart full of love, but it was also a weak heart, and in the end it was her heart that let her down.
Ann wore her heart on her sleeve, which made it very hard for her to hide her emotions; it was all too obvious when she was upset, or sad or angry.

I am sure that most of you will have been on the receiving end of Ann’s tongue at least once. When she had something on her mind she would let you know, she was nothing if not direct. But Ann also had a huge capacity for forgiveness and despite what had happened to her as a child she always tried to see the good in people.

You will all have your own fond memories of Ann, and every now and then something will remind you of her.

For me, it will be each time I see a woman with a shopping trolley, not the supermarket kind, but the ones with the long handle and two wheels, or when I smell her favourite perfume, Anais-Anais or when I hear a song by Rod Stewart or Johnnie Mathis. I am sure there are many more things that will remind me of Ann and bring a smile to my face and a tear to my eye but those are the ones that spring to mind.

If I had to describe Ann to a stranger, I would describe her as four-foot tall woman with a ten-foot tall personality.

I am proud to be Ann’s brother, a part of her family; and whatever connection you had with Ann, I know you will be as proud as I am to have known her and to have been loved by her.

Goodnight, Godbless, Love You Loads Always Will

I still cannot belive you have gone, no more laughs and good old moans. The only thing I know you will never suffer any more pain, you suffered with pain in one way or another all your life.
You were always such fun to be with, you called a spade a spade, no messing with you but we all liked you for that.
I have a S.M.A. fathers card and so do other people, that is a few masses every day sent for you.
Our hearts will always be with you, I hope you are at rest now with Mum Dad and John.
You are now and always will be in my heart.
I placed my rose on your coffin and said goobye sweetheart until we meet again I kissed my fingers and placed them on your coffin.
Hugs and kisses forever XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

A 4 ft lady with a 10 ft heart and personality

She's in a better place right now,
than she's ever been before
All pain has gone She's now at rest
Nothing troubles her any more.

It's we who feel the burden of
Our sadness and our grief
We have to cry to mourn our loss
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Before we get relief.

When you feel a gentle breeze
caress you when you sigh,
It's a hug sent from heaven
From Ann way up high,
If a soft and tender raindrop
Lands upon your nose,
She's added a small kiss
as gentle as a rose.

good night god bless Ann happy camping up there
Love
Pam and the gang
